Exercise advent calendar day 8: Pulley Wood Chops:
Here is our beloved and fearless Fawzia demonstrating the wood chop for us. Since training with Personal Trainer Karl Gibson Fawzia has now lost over 23 kilos, a remarkable achievement and a really great story.
The wood chop is a very functional and effective way of training your obliques, the muscles in the side of your abdomen, an important area that can sometimes be neglected. A great compound exercise which also targets Latissimus dorsi, rectus abdominis, quadriceps, gluteus maximus, hip abductors, hip adductors, deltoids, pectoralis major as either they take the body through the movement pattern or act as stabilisers.
Get chopping wood!
