Georgia’s Fitness Philosophy

georgia-360-327I am delighted to be Personal Training at West London Fitness and today I share with you my first blog. The subject at hand…is me! Well, my Philosophy to be more specific.

So I’m sure we can all agree that “knowledge is power”, when it comes to any subject. With regards to health and fitness, knowledge is the key ingredient to making your lifestyle, eating and fitness choices right and sustainable.

I believe it is crucial, to everyone’s life, to learn what is best to eat to fuel your body and then use that fuel to condition it through regular correct exercise. We are all different and it’s not a case of “one size fits all” so we have to work out the basics. This will help to get us on a path of a healthy maintainable lifestyle, with adaptations depending on the person. We aren’t all going to want to become body builders or marathon runners, so the choices you make towards your eating and exercise regime will be individual to you. It’s important to work out what works for you and what realistically you will be happy with. We all compare ourselves to others too often and it takes away from our uniqueness. I love that each and everyone of us has something different to offer, and this applies to our bodies and what they are capable of…it’s often so much more than one thinks they can do and achieve. How exciting is that?! The pure personal gratification you get from working hard and looking after yourself is second to none. That means allowing time for ‘you ‘in this crazy world we all live in. We all want to work hard and do well and that “show me the money” feeling in the words of Jerry Maguire! But all of this means nothing and is impossible to enjoy if we don’t take the time to look after our body and mind. Keep hold of that thought…your body will thank you in the long run if you give it a try.
