Finding myself fifty and already having had one hip replacement, I realised I needed to do something about my fitness and wellbeing pretty quickly. West London Fitness appealed to me because the gym location is convenient and there are good parking and changing facilities (all very important for dealing with my mental barriers to training ?).
After my induction with Jamie, I paired up with Georgia as my personal trainer, explained my goals and we started to work on achieving them. My first target was to run 5k outside – which I did within a few weeks – we are now working on 10k.
Georgia’s approach to my programme is collaborative and encouraging – but she can also be tough and challenging. I really enjoy the variety of exercises she builds into the routines and have noticed my ability to train improve substantially week to week.
I look forward to each session and try to do them twice weekly when possible. People have noticed the change in my body shape and I feel great in myself and find it much easier to concentrate at work.
